Job Description:

This position is in the Training & Organizational Development (T&OD) unit within the Office of Human Resource Management (HRM) at LSU. The T&OD unit provides LSU with consulting, training, and assessment services that ensure continuous individual and organizational performance improvement. The T&OD Specialist designs, develops, updates, and delivers training on a variety of professional and supervisory topics and supports employee engagement and performance management. 

Job Responsibilities:

45%- Training: Designs, develops, updates, and delivers training materials for professional and supervisory level training topics for in person, virtual, and online workshops, including but not limited to HRM Biz Bytes, DiSC, Facility and Property Oversight Supervisory Trainings, Management Foundation Series, Climbing the Career Ladder, and departmental trainings; stays abreast of training trends, techniques, and programs, and implements research into current and/or new courses; partners with subject matter experts as needed. 

40%- Performance Management: Supports the performance management program as the co-SME through testing,  data conversion, planning for Workday updates to understand changes related to the Talent Module, and develops and facilitates training; serves as the back up for tracking and analyzing exit interview metrics. 

10%- Organizational Development: Supports engagement efforts for HRM employees, including but not limited to HRM Internship Program, HRM Mentorship Program; stays abreast of organizational development trends, techniques, and programs, and implements research into current and/or new initiatives.   

5%- May supervise student workers and assign projects; other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 1 year of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Man., HR, OD, I/O Psych or related field. 5 years of related field. Specific experience where a combination of education and/or related experience where training facilitation, instructional design, graphic design, e-learning, instructional technology, and/or data analysis and tracking was a major responsibility.
